We are gearing up for Festival of the Cranes for 2014 and the brochures are out! If you are a current Friends member or 2013 Festival participant, you should receive one in the mail. Otherwise they can be picked up at the refuge, visitor information sites in Socorro, the Rio Grande Nature Center and Wild Birds Unlimited in Albuquerque.

If you would like to see some of the great workshops, lectures, and tours we have scheduled, please check out our Schedule of Events online or peruse the complete 2014 Festival brochure(3Mb pdf).

cameraThe Friends of the Bosque announce the opening of the 2014 Festival of the Cranes photo contest! Entry fees remain the same as last year - $5 for the first photo and $3 for each additional. The Expo Tent will be back in 2014. Please plan to check out our top notch exhibitors and take advantage of our optics, camera, printing, and eco-travel experts onsite! There will be no Fine Art Show associated with the Festival of the Cranes in 2014.

Did you see the Adopt A Project listings in the Festival brochure? You can learn more about those here.

Looking to plan your travel now? Make sure to check out our lodging page and make your reservations through the links from Reservetravel. Prices are usually the same as with other travel sites, and the Friends receive 6% back as a donation! We've made almost $2,300 in 3 years of this partnership. It's a win-win for everyone!
